St. Clement Roman Catholic Church as they inaugurate it to St. Clement Quasi Parish, Nuaso. The church known before this inauguration is established some 40 years ago in the year 1982.
It is an outstation under the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Agormanya until it gains Parish status on 29th June 2021.
The service started with a welcome address by Mr. Robert Lamptey the Church President. In his address, he welcomed the Parishioners, invited guests, Kings, Queens from the Manya Krobo Traditional Area, and everyone from far and near who grace the august occasion and thank them for coming.
After his address, the service continued with a bible reading from Isaiah 6:1-8, Psalm 138: 1-8, 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, and Luke 5: 1-11.
One of the Rev. Fr. who used the Peter and Jesus’ story gave an exhortation, in his message to the church, he encourages everyone to smile even when there is nothing too good to smile about.
They took communion and offertory to climax in the first part of the program.
Inauguration Ceremony of St. Clement Roman Catholic Elevation to A Parish
The second part of the program started with the Klama dance popularly known as Dipo dance. Members of CYO, Rev Sisters, Christian Mothers, and Catechist danced the Dipo dance which portrays Krobo Culture and signifies happiness, and to shows how happy they are for the New Parish status.
Rev. Fr. Justin Mensah the Financial Administrator at the Koforidua Catholic Secretariat was called upon to do the official inauguration.
He started by Thanking the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Seth Awo Doku for his aid in completing the renovation and expansion of the church building.
He thanked the St. Anne’s Vocational Institute Staff, traditional leaders of Manya Krobo traditional area who are present, subjects of Krobo Land, and finally the entire church for making the inauguration ceremony possible.
He encourages them to add more effort to see the Parish grow.
Decree of Elevation of St. Clement Roman Catholic to A Parish
Rev. Fr. Justin read the Decree from Most Rev. Fr. Joseph Kwaku Afrifah- Agyekum the Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese. He then entrusted the parish into the hands of the priest in charge.
In the decree of Most Rev. Fr. Joseph Afrifah said “St. Clement Quasi Parish is not yet erected as a Parish due to particular circumstances.”
The Church elders and other Parishioners help Rev. Fr. Felix Tetteh Kwesi the Priest in Charge of the Parish to receive the document.
The Newly inaugurated St. Clement Quasi Roman Catholic Parish under The Koforidua Diocese of the Catholic Church Ghana has five (5) outstations including Wawase, Adjina, Yeniamah, Sapor, and Adjina Dornor.
There is fifteen (15) Catechist to help Rev. Fr. Felix Tetteh in the administration of the Parish.
The Rev. Feathers who grace the occasion are Rev. Fr. Moses Tetteh Ouadji, Rev. Fr. Dominic Okletey all of Holy Trinity. Rev Fr. (Dr.) Seth Awo Doku, Rev Fr. Edwine Okletey Australia, Very Rev. Fr. Justin Mensah and Rev Fr. Felix Tetteh Kwesi.
The King or Asafoatse and Queen mothers in Krobo Land were also not left out of the celebration. Some who were attendees were Nene Partey Asime V, Nene Bortey Dyeabour III, Nene Aflo Kwesi Titriku II, Nene Odumafour, Nene Ahuma BB’s rep, Nene Adubofuo, Manye Padikie and Manye Cecelia Kenney.
Rev. Fr. Felix Tetteh Kwesi thank everyone for coming and supporting them. He prays for a safe journey and wishes everyone the best of luck in everything they do.
